Re: Where I need to check the version of my Proliant ML350 Gen10 ILO5 if is advanced or ba
Hi @tonschka ,
If it is new server (box peice), it might include the Paper document cover with 25 alphnumeric letter license activation key.
By default, license will not be activated,
Steps to be followed:
Step 1: Login to iLO with log in credential mentioned in serial label of the server or try with root/password.
Step 2: After a successful iLO login, Go to Administrator menu -> click on Licensing tab
Step 3: Enter the license activation key provided in the document shipped along with the server.
Step 4: After a successful activation, you can get the edition of iLO license.
For more information, please refer the following document.
I hope, my post helps you, if yes, please give 'Kudos' and mark my post as 'Accepted solution.'
Regards,

Re: Where I need to check the version of my Proliant ML350 Gen10 ILO5 if is advanced or ba
Thank you very much for quick reply, I dont remember if or not was a letter with any activation ILO5 inside the factory box, let me check inside but I am really unsure, anyway the sort of Basic or Advance ILO5 may this server have where in BIOS can I check that? and if I buy the HPE ILO 5 Advanced Lifetime License Key ( link eBay seller below attached) can I go to licenses and upgrade directly to "Advance license" without bother to register for the Basic ILO5 license?, thank you very much

Hi @tonschka ,
* Anyway the sort of Basic or Advance ILO5 may this server have where in BIOS can I check that?
I checked in my server, but didn't found the iLO version type in BOIS.
You can try connect to iLO (directly or through network) and get the detail in 'System information'
* Can I go to licenses and upgrade directly to "Advance license" without bother to register for the Basic ILO5 license?
I am not aware on eBay purchases.
I hope, my post help you in getting iLO version type, if yes, please give 'Kudos' and mark my post as 'Accepted solution.

Re: Query: Where I need to check the version of my Proliant ML350 Gen10 ILO5 if is advance
Hi thank you very much for the answer and I am sorry for very late reply to you due to many things to do here and also partially because the sad painful and continuously frustrating and annoying problem I have with both website, the HPE ILO5 website and Dell IDRAC website with the login IP credentials addresses because the IP login addresses I manage to find do not work or allow me to login in such ILO or IDRAC websites which continuously giving me timeout access denied or website unreacheable. inside the brand new factory box of the ML350 G10 was not to be found a letter with 25 alphnumeric license activation key, may be is in the rear sticker of this chassis I need to check that today and report here, anyway I connect two cables from the modem, one of them connected to one of the four internet ports at the back of the ML350 G10 chassis and the second cable from the modem connected to the specific ILO port at the back of such chassis, because this server have four internet connections at the back, may be depending which port is used or connected with a cable may be such port have a little bit different specific IP address to access the ILO5 website, thank you
25 alphnumeric letter license activation key.
By default, license will not be activated,
Steps to be followed:
Step 1: Login to iLO with log in credential mentioned in serial label of the server or try with root/password.
Step 2: After a successful iLO login

Hi @tonschka
As you asked " You can try connect to iLO (directly or through network) and get the detail in 'System information'""
here, my aswer may help you ...
If you are unable to access over network, please configure the laptop with same network configuration with next IP address, connect network port from iLO port of server to laptop network port.
You can now browse and access the iLO.

Re: Where I need to check the version of my Proliant ML350 Gen10 ILO5 if is advanced or ba
Hello,
Please correct the IP address of the iLO's that is used in the browser. The message shows 162.168.100.55, whereas the configured IP address is 192.168.100.55.
Please correct it and you should land on the iLO 5 login page!
