Where to find (debian) linux driver for on-board scsi controller

I have a Compaq Prosignia 500 Server with an on-board scsi-controller.
I'm trying to install debian-linux on this machine now. The only thing that is still missing before being able to install linux, is the scsi driver for the onboard scsi-controller. The second problem is that I don't know which scsi-contorller it is :)
Does anyone knows which controller it is and tell me where to find the linux-driver for it???

Can't help you with a linux driver, but Win2K reports my ProSignia 500's integrated SCSI controller as a Symbios Logic 8100S PCI SCSI adapter - maybe a google search with that'll find you something

I too have a Prosig 500. I was able to install Debian 3.0 using this command at the install prompt. type: linux compact , This will load the Symbios scsi driver. I hope this helps
