Why does dl980 run memory testing at every booting?

Hi experts,

I found our dl980 run memory testing at every boot. I don't change memory address between 40bit and 44bit and I don't modify number of DIMMs. Is there a setting to enable memory test at every boot?

Re: Why does dl980 run memory testing at every booting?

Hi,

I could not find any such options in RBSU to disable memory count on every boot.

But here is one option that you could try.

RBSU -> Server Availability -> Power-On Delay, select "No delay"

Try this, by selecting No Delay option should skip the memory test.

Good Luck!

Hi,

I think it is probably becuase of defective memory DIMMs. I missed the error message: misconfiguration on memory at first screen. I am running insight diagnostics now.
