Why your server HP can recognize only first 7 characters?

Why your server HP can recognize only first 7 characters? We have HP Proliant DL 580G7, when we set up password for BIOS, we automatically insert 8 characters. When we power up server we write all 8 characters, and BIOS didn't enter us. We confuse with our presentation of this server. We coudn't open box, because of garantee. Why you don't write about it to coustomers?
