Win2K error due to large L3 cache on DL580G4

Hi all,
I recently installed a cluster DL580G4 with Windows 2000 advanced server. Occasionally, we met a Windows error occuring, according to Microsoft, on recent and fast machines having large L3 cache(<>) and for which a hotfix has been introduced only in Windows 2003 server SP1.
Do anybody know a workaround in Win2K for this problem or a way to disable L3 cache on such machines ?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Re: Win2K error due to large L3 cache on DL580G4

hi

mmm this is nice

article says applies for w2000 also but Microsoft is not going to try to fix that issue

maybe you already read this

so from Hardware prospective would be

remove processor(s) and and test results
or use this in boot.ini

/NUMPROC=
Specifies the number of CPUs that can be used on a multiprocessor system.

Example: /NUMPROC=2 on a four-way system will prevent Windows from using two of the four processors.

and let us know
