Re: windows could not apply unattend settings during pass in windows server 2012 r2 64bit
Hello,
I can guess that you're trying to install Widnwos 2012 R2 using the embedded utility (Intelligent Provisioning, F10) is order to create an assisted installation but, im pretty sure HP haven't released that support for 2012 R2. You should manually install OS and provided it with the corresponding controller driver during installation.
You can check here for compatibility configuration:
http://h20195.www2.hp.com/v2/GetPDF.aspx%2F4AA4-7658ENW.pdf
and here for the Supplemental drivers pack (bottom of the page):

Re: windows could not apply unattend settings during pass in windows server 2012 r2 64bit
Greetings Ranjith4385,
I would suggest 2 solutions for you, each of which have different solutions, as i am still not sure of the Support of Win2012R2, but i think it is online now.
well Solution 1:
1- upgrade your IP, using IP Recovery DVD.
2- try installing your Win 2012 R2 x64 bit OS using IP
Solution 2:
1- Use the ORCA, or ACU to configure your HDD
2- install the Win 2012 R2 x64 bit OS, by booting from disk.
3- install the latest SPP (found on hp.com/go/spp).
then go for configuring the management Software manually

Re: windows could not apply unattend settings during pass in windows server 2012 r2 64bit
I know I'm joining the party late on this one, but thought an update might be useful to some.
I'm informed by HP tech support that IP version 1.6 is required for 2012R2 support...

Re: windows could not apply unattend settings during pass in windows server 2012 r2 64bit
I'm getting the same issue on a Proliant Dl360e gen8, when trying to install Server 2016.
Do you think is the same problem? I'm trying to install it by Intelligent provisioning too. Server 2016 seems to be compatible: https://h17007.www1.hpe.com/us/en/enterprise/servers/supportmatrix/windows.aspx
I'll try l Solution 1: Upgrade your IP, using IP Recovery DVD and try installi Win 2016 x64 bit OS using IP
Can you explain me the solution 2? To boot from disk, ho to finf and add storage driver?
thanks in advance!
