Windows Server 2008 on ProLiant ML310G2
Hello,
I'm using an ML310G2 with two SATA HDDs on the Embedded SATA RAID-Controller (Intel 82801FR).
In the startup screen it is displayed as Adaptec HostRAID controller and RAID1 is successfully configured.
I can install Server 2003 on this machine but i couldn't find any drivers for this controller to run Server 2008 on this machine.
However it seems SmartStart 8.30 can't recognize the controller. The HDDs are displayed in JBOD-config but installation failes after first reboot.
Has anyone a solution for this problem or drivers which are working with Server 2008?
Thanks in advance.
Hermann

Re: Windows Server 2008 on ProLiant ML310G2
hmmm..
smart start will not see it as it is not a
smart rt type controller
but you can get one feks the p400
so all you drivers and firmware are here
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareIndex.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodNameId=3279691&prodTypeId=15351&prodSeriesId=434814&swLang=8&taskId=135&swEnvOID=4022
i think the onboard sata for 2003 nd 2008 are the same here
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=15351&prodSeriesId=434814&prodNameId=3279691&swEnvOID=1005&swLang=8&mode=2&taskId=135&swItem=MTX-3f27718395524ff393ffc94d2d

Re: Windows Server 2008 on ProLiant ML310G2
Hi,
i already tried all suitable drivers for Server2003 and Server2008 from the Download website. The p400, p410 are not working also.
The same with drivers from the Intel downloadcenter.
> note g2 does not really support 2008
Rather does not support at all.
However thanks for your suggestions.
Rgds,
