Wiping Drives in a RAID Array

Hello All;

I am retiring our Proliant ML370 G4 Server which is using an HP SA6400 Array controller. My question is:

Is there a way to do a security Wipe on the drives in the array before getting rid of this hardware?

I have read about and tried dban but it will not work on the raid. The best would be a bootable CD that could wipe them out and then be done with it.

Re: Wiping Drives in a RAID Array

Hi,

Boot from HP SmartStart CD and use the ERASE utility to wipe the data.

You may download the ISO image here.

Thank You!
