X509 Certificate not accepted (with locally generated CSR)
Hello,
I have a HP DL380p, using iLO 2.81 version, and this is my first time dealing with certificates for iLO (or any HP) devices.
I have generated a CSR, with the CN of *.verncon.net (using the * as it is for a number of devices, ans issued by SwissSign as a wildcard Certificate), however when I go to upload the certificate, it replies that
"Error: The Certificate could not be imported from the supplied X.509 Certificate data.
Verify the following:
- The input text was base64-encoded X.509 certificate data.
- The provided certificate data was intended for this server (not another server).."
I was very careful to ensure that all of the data is correct, the only exception being that the certificate had to be generated with CN = *.verncon.net by the certificate provider, so the certificate should be accepted with the iLO have the CN = servnet.verncon.net (or any other sub-domain of verncon.net)
The certificate was in the correct Base64 format, including both the upper and lower lines ("----BEGIN CERTIFICATE-------" and "-----END CERTIFICATE----")
Also I require to obtain the Private Key which was generated by the CSR, however there does not appear to be any method for downloading the generated Private Key.
Please advise how to:
- proceed with a valid, wlildcard certificate to correctly upload the certificate
- download the Private Key as a PKCS12 pair
Regards,
Garth Rees.
