Array 532 Controller

I have one drive that is bad on a array controller, when I replace the drive does the array controller automatically configure the drive back into the array? I am using Netware 6.0 with 3 18G harddrives

Make sure that the SA532 Controller
has the latest firmware;

and you don't have to do anything ;the array controller will re write the parity on the new drives.

you can replace the drive when server is up and running if it has failed but only if you have the latest firmware.

Also you can power down the server remove the old drive; and put relacement drive; and
server when booting will give you

F1 - to continue with recovery
F2 - to continue without recovery.

to updte firmware for the array controller: download Firmware Maintenance 7.10
