Array Accelerator Battery for Smart Array 6400
Good day!
Can you help me regarding the recharging of battery.
After the successful installation of updated firmware, I received the following error
1794 - Slot # Drive Array - Array Accelerator Battery Charge Low
Array Accelerator Posted- Write Cache is temporarily disabled
Array Accelerator will be re-enabled when batteries reach full charge"
How many hours will the recharging of battery?
Is it normal that the boot up only reach until
"Press Ctrl + S to Enter Configuration Settings.."
Do you think it hanged?

Re: Array Accelerator Battery for Smart Array 6400
How old is the SA6400? The battery may have to be replaced after two years or sooner if you experience several power failures. If the battery is good, it should be charged in 24 to 48 hours.
FYI Some SA6400 have two batteries. I would run the ADU (Array Diagnostic Utility) to obtain detailed information.
Regards,
Tim

Re: Array Accelerator Battery for Smart Array 6400
Thank you for the reply.
Actually my problem was our ML350 didn't continue booting-up. It stopped in "Press Ctrl+S to enter Config...". So I thought that the battery caused the problem. The initial error was "battery is not charging" I decided to update the firmware of SA6400 which has 2.34 version. This doesn't solve the problem, however.
Until someone told me that I should reseat all the cards, even the memory cards. That solved my problem. It sucessfully booted in OS.
But you're right, I really need to replace the battery.
