Compaq Proliant ML370 motherboard swap
I just replaced the motherboard in a pre-HP Compaq Proliant ML370 (1.0 Ghz P3, dual processor). The motherboard is an exact duplicate. The processors came from the previous motherboard. When I attempt to boot the machine, the server reports that the processors are not supported. I cannot get past this error to update the BIOS (if this is even needed). Any ideas, anyone?

Re: Compaq Proliant ML370 motherboard swap
Try to boot with one CPU at time see which one will allow you to boot, if none; find lover speed CPU, also verify if there any Jumpers for speed clock, compare with old one. When you get it back, run SP19619 for F10.

Re: Compaq Proliant ML370 motherboard swap
The BIOS was out of date. I booted the server using an older processor, updated the BIOS, and put the newer processors back in. Server is now working great.
