DL320 G1Smart Array P400 - Missing Bay
We currently have two DL320 G1 with there are HDDs in each of the 12 bays, but for some reason the ACU does not see bay number 8.
Any ideas? Please see the attachment for details.
Thanks,
Boxtell

Re: DL320 G1Smart Array P400 - Missing Bay
Does the HDD indicators light up on the HDD in bay 8?
Do they light up if you plug it into another bay?
DL320 G1?
This is a 'pizzabox'(1U) style server, right?
That means you're using an external disk shelf?
Which model?
Just asking in case there's some compatibility issues somewhere.

Actually it is not, all twelve bays reside within the same box. The server that we have is a HP ProLiant DL320s Storage Server 9TB

Re: DL320 G1Smart Array P400 - Missing Bay
An interesting thing happened. The missing bay number 8 suddenly appeared right after the server blue screened and the disk in bay 4 started failing.
Do you know if this was due a setting on the array configuration? Unfortunately, we have to DL320 which have the same issue (although one is OK now).
Thanks
