DL380 G1 and WinServer 2003 R2, hangs
I have used Firmware 7.5 to update my system and then SmartStart 5.5 to create my drive arrays. Dual 1.0 processors, 2 G RAM, 2 drive arrays. I then boot the W2K3 R2 diskette, press F6 to load the 32 bit SCSI controller driver, the system says loading Windows items and then seems to hang there. What can I do, check, etc to find out the problem?

Re: DL380 G1 and WinServer 2003 R2, hangs
This is similar to what I am experiencing. I too have a DL380 G1 and it hangs while "starting windows". I also used a 7.6 cd and after 5.5
Perhaps the problem was using the 7.6 cd? Maybe we need to roll back?
Now the 7.6 cd will not boot.
Did you find any way around this?

Re: DL380 G1 and WinServer 2003 R2, hangs
I had the same problem, I went back to firmware cd version 7.40, and installed from Windows 2003 SP1. After installation I installed R2
