Dual Processor on ML370
We have Compaq ML370, currently using single processor (PIII 1GHz). We want to add another processor to make it quicker. When we add the second processor (PIII 1GHz), the server can not boot. Is there any jumper/bios configuration should we add?

Re: Dual Processor on ML370
Herbert:
When you purchased the second processor, did you purchase the processor as the HP kit?
Pentium III P1000-256K Processor Option Kit - 187602-B21
This kit would have come with the correct processor as well as the Processor Power Module.
You need the Processor Power Module to provide clean and regulated power to the second processor.
You may be able to purchase Spare Part Number: 157825-001 (the PPM) to get the server up with the second CPU initialized.
G'luck! -john
