E200 IDE support
Are IDE hard disk supported by E200 server? I have installed two 80 GB IDE but they are not listed in BIOS. Thanks!

Re: E200 IDE support
Many IDE issues may be resolved by checking the basic configurations of the IDE devices on the system:
1. Check the jumper settings of the devices on the same chain to insure that none of them are the same. The one exception to this is if both drives are jumpered to cable select. This configuration allows the devices on the chain to be set to either master or slave depending on their position on the data cable.
2. Re-seat the data and power cable connections.
Alternatively, it could be that the bios does not have support for drives bigger than 60Gb or the controller (Ultra66 IDE) cannot read from your drive. Looks like 22 Oct 2001 is the latest bios was produced for this system. ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software1/ns1364/ns1364en/e200_bios_022.exe
G'luck!
