Help with LH4 NetRAID
Hi all,
I have HP NetServer LH4 with integrated NetRAID and 3 arrays installed on it.
First Array cosist of 1 HDD - 4Gb ( this is where my Windows 2000 Server and Exchange 2000 Server is )
Second Array - RAID 0 ( 2 x 9 Gb ) which is in failed state ( I want to delete this array )
Third Array - RAID 5 ( 3 x 36 Gb ) it is my data array with Exchange DB and User's files
My problems are:
1. I want to conver my Seccond array to RAID 1 or do telete it and recreate to RAID 1 ( I mean that I don't need the data which is on this array )
2. I want to move my Partition from First array to my new second Array
I want to thank in advance for every tip !!!
Tedy

Re: Help with LH4 NetRAID
You cannot delete the second array without first deleting the third array. NetRaid assistant will allow you to delete the highest number'ed array (last array) only. So in this case, you have to delete array 3 and then array 2. You can backup the data on array 3 and then delete. Later you can restore the backup.
You can try the Configuration Wizard in NetRaid Assistant to Reclaim the second array. I dont think it will allow you but give it a try.
Do you have any empty slot?
Why is the Array 2 in failed state?, is there a drive bad?
Anyways, you cannot convert it to Raid 1 with out deleting it first.
