Help with Netserver LH4
Just got an LH 4, Dual xeon 500 that I know little to nothing about and would like some help.
I updated the system BIOs, backplane BIOs and Integrated netserver raid controller BIOS, but the external raid controller I can't seem to see and I am a bit confused as I do see references to some of the drives contained therein.
I'd like to start of by getting the appropriate Setup amn user manuals for the system and work from there instead of posting a million questions to the group which could probably be answered by the documentation.
Finally, I am observing a red flashing LED next to the system display screen , what does this mean?
Thanks in advance

Re: Help with Netserver LH4
First, documentation for the Netserver LH4/LH4r is available at the following web site:
http://netserver.hp.com/support/parts_service/parts_list/parts_tpl.asp?pid=LH4
The default is the Parts List. Use the drop-down menu to select other info, such as Manuals.
Is there a PCI NetRAID card installed? If you want to capture your configuration - and you have Windows (NT or 2000) installed, try the HP Instant TopTools software. It will let you view the HP Event Log (which should be done with the red LED to check for any errors) as well as showing the configuration. To install:
http://www.hp.com/toptools/download/server_agents.html
Scroll down to install only Instant TopTools (not the Agents).
It is important to find out why you have a red LED - there should be a message/error logged to the HP Event Log.
