How Can I remotely know when a disk in an RAID array on my D380 G7 servers has failed?
Hello world!
THis is my first post, I hope you can help me with this. I'm newbie working with server and I have two 8bay D380 G7 Proliant Server with few logical drives (RAIDs).
But I don't know how can I see when a disk fails. I want to know that because if a disk fail I have to replace fast.
Sorry for my English writing.
Thank you very much guys!

Re: How Can I remotely know when a disk in an RAID array on my D380 G7 servers has failed?
Greetings.
When a server is updated with complete/latest Drivers, firmware & management agents, any failure event can be viewed on the integrated management log (IML).
Alternatively, you may install "HP ProLiant Smart Array SAS/SATA Event Notification Service" which will Sync with the Smart Array Controller driver to report any storage specific events. You will need to configure with an e-mail ID to receive storage related alerts.
You may download the above said add-on from HPE support site by chosing the OS version.
Do reply for any clarification.
Thank you.
