HP Netserver LC3
Is it possible to add an IDE hard drive on the integrated IDE controller? I need extra space and IDE hard drives are so cheap.
I currently have a SCSI 8 gig RAID array as the boot device and it will remain. The extra drive is just for back-ups ect.
Thanks

Re: HP Netserver LC3
You can try, but it will not be supported by HP> Also, the IDE controller has a higher boot priority than SCSI, so you would have to have the OS installed on the IDE drive.

Re: HP Netserver LC3
I've done it by putting the hard drive (IDE) where the tape device would have been. However I din't have any SCSI drives when I did it. Now I've added a RAID card but can't get it to recognise the SCSI disks. They may not be related so I'd be interested in how your's turns out.
