HP NetServer LD Pro
Hi,
Can I use an IDE hard disk in the HP NetServer LD Pro?
I tried connecting an IDE hard disk, but the computer does not recognized it. Also, how can I reach the BIOS software?
Thanks in advance,
best regards,
Juan Araya

Re: HP NetServer LD Pro
HP did not test IDE hard drives in the LD Pro, so hopefully other folks can help you with that question.
The BIOS setup in the LD Pro is accessed from a software program called the "ECU". This is on the HP Navigator CD. If you do not have this CD, no problem. The LD Pro software is here:
http://h20004.www2.hp.com/soar_rnotes/bsdmatrix/matrix50444en_US.html
Download the ECU exe file, run it and you will be prompted for one diskette. Boot the server from this disk to access the BIOS setup.
Documentation on the LD Pro is available here:
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Home.jsp?locale=en_US&prodTypeId=15351&prodSeriesId=50444
Select MANUALS (under SELF-Support) for LD Pro documentation.
