HP Proliant Micro Gen8 ILO Alert Mail
Hi,
I am using an HP Gen8. I bought a licence for the ilo board now. My problem is, that I cannot setup the ilo alert mail.
Is there a possibility to use this with a freemailer like gmail, or gmx? Thx in advance

Re: HP Proliant Micro Gen8
It is intended for a local mail server, more or less.
from guide:
AlertMail options
• Email Address—The destination email address for iLO email alerts. This string can be up
to 63 characters and must be in standard email address format. You can enter only one
email address.
• Sender Domain—The domain name specified in the sender (From) email address. The
sender email address is formed by using the iLO name as the host name, and the sender
domain as the domain name. This string can be up to 63 characters.
• SMTP Port—The port that the SMTP server will use for unauthenticated SMTP connections.
The default value is 25.
• SMTP Server—The IP address or DNS name of the SMTP server or the MSA. This server
cooperates with the MTA to deliver the email. This string can be up to 63 characters.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Using also office365, which will not work. So I have no chance?

(when f.e. a hard disk is damage und Windows Server 2012 or 16 guest in vmware?)
Good Question. I was always think the iLO can unique process the email alert.
I have report the case for support team, but cannot solve the problem.
