HP ProLiant ML310e Gen8 v2 - sometimes FAN 2 runs at full speed
Hello all,
I have a problem with the HP ProLiant ML310e Gen8 v2 - FAN 2.
Sometimes, the fan runs at full speed for a few seconds but in the ILO it's always at 19%.
Sometimes, the fan remains blocked at full speed. I have to restart the server in order to solve the problem.
All firmwares/ILO are up-to-date. VMware ESXi 6.7.0 installed.
Do you any idea to solve this problem definitively ?
How to diagnose this problem ?
Do I need to fill the fan ? Other ?
Below, the fan model :
Thanks and regards,

Re: HP ProLiant ML310e Gen8 v2 - sometimes FAN 2 runs at full speed
Hello,
Ensure that required fans are populated.
If there are slots on the front of the server not populated and not closed, please populate the blanks.
In case there any third party devices, remove them and check if the issue isolates to them.
If possible, reduce the server to minimum configuration, with only the processor and memory modules populated, with all the drives removed, all expansion cards to be removed, populate blanks for remvoed hard drives and observer the server. If there are no issues, then add one component at a time and check to isolate the issue.
