Hi All,
I recently supplied a HPE MicroServer Gen 10 Plus to a client. He connects the server thru DP Port to HDMI Convertor to his Panasonic 43" LED TV. I had supplied Cable Creation's 1.4v dp to HDMI Convertor & Amazon Basic's HDMI Cable.
Display is coming from VGA port, But, When DP port is connected, there's no Output.
After a lot of searching, I found out the DP port required an active DP Adaptor. Does anyone have a clarity on this?
Copy Paste from Server's Spec Sheet:
Display Port connections: If a dongle is being utilized to connect to the DisplayPort connection on the HPE ProLiant Gen10 server, an active dongle must be used. "DP++" or "passive" dongles will not allow video to be displayed. In addition, if a cable is being used that converts the connection to DisplayPort, it will need to be active. There are a limited number of cases where active connections will not function as expected; if this occurs, the iLO firmware version 1.35 update described in item #1 should be implemented.

Re: Query: HPE Microserver Gen 10 Plus No Output display from DP Port
With lot of digging on the net, I came to find that, the DP port is of 1.1 version.
Now, the question is, which DP to hdmi adaptor/cable to buy that would support this output!
