lc 2000r non-boot
I am getting the non-boot issue. Blinking cursor at top left of screen. I did the cmos clear and nothing. I can boot from floppy, CD.
I had this problem in the past and the clear bios fixed it. Any ideas?
thanks

Re: lc 2000r non-boot
A long shot, but you might try opening the box and reseating the SCSI backplane and any connectors in the vicinity. Do your hard disks show up during boot (that is, during power-on self test, "POST")?

Re: lc 2000r non-boot
I will try resetting the back plane. During boot, the drives and the controller test fine. I don't think it is a software issue.
thanks
Anyother thoughts please let me know.

Re: lc 2000r non-boot
Try this:
disconnect all the cable form the server (power, lan, modem, printer) and let it for few minuts.
It will clear the memory in the managment chip.
reboot and check.
