lc2000 parity error CPU2
I am running SCO Openserver 5.0.5 Unix.
We have a RAID configuration and a separate scsi hard drive for backups during the day.
This AM the system locked with a parity check on CPU2. A reboot cleared it up but now I am wondering if the processor is bad / new server 6 months old.
Is there any way to verify the integrity or longevity of the processor w/o swapping it out ?
Could something else be causing the parity check ?
A separate - much less severe problem occurs when we do the daily backups. We get a running list of error messages
Warning: AddToOverflowList rp=F02AExxxxx ha=1 id=5 lun=0
sometimes ....
Warning: AddToOverflowWARNING err Error log overflow list rp=F02AF0C4 ha-1 id=5 lun=0
The backups arrive fine/restorable and in good shape but I would like to stop the messages streaming on the monitor
Hwconfig shows
name=disk vec=- dma=- type=S ha=1 id=5 lun=0 bus=3 ht=slha
name=disk vec=- dma=- type=S ha=0 id=0 lun=0 bus=0 ht=amird
thanks for any and all help

Re: lc2000 parity error CPU2
You can run diag tools on the server to verify the processor is good. There should be options in the advanced section that will allow you to run a test multiple times on the processors, to give it a good test. Diag tools can be found here:

Also. make sure you are running the latest BIOS for the system:
