lc2000 Vs tc4100 - Raid Configurations

Over the past few years we have installed Lc2000 Netservers with 3 disk RAID5. The installation using default settings on the Netraid 1M Card.

We recently were forced to install tc4100 servers and now the performance on the servers for RAID 5 is terrible. Has anybody suffered similar problems.

The disk write on 500MB was 3mins, as opposed to 40seconds on RAID0. Does this make sense?

regards

First off, yes it does make sense that a RAID 5 is slower than a RAID 0. There is no data parity calculations involved in a RAID 0. Is it suppose to be that much slower, I don't know. Are you running the latest drivers and firmware on the controller? You can find those here:

Also, make sure the controller is in PCI slot 5.
