Loading Linux NetServer 5/133 LH

Hello all, I was wondering if anyone could help me out with this little question.

Today my company gave me a HP NetServer 5/133 LH to take home.

The box has 2 drives in it right now, with 4 gig each drive. I guess it could hold 6 drives in total.

My question is that I would love to load linux on it. Does it matter which ver of linux I load on it?

I would like to run the Red Hat 8 and up.

So if anyone has any good ideas let me know ok

this server runs sco unix very well.

Re: Loading Linux NetServer 5/133 LH

Hey Paul,

thank you for the link. let me ask you a question. Do I need to download the bios first with out any OS ?

Other thing, do you think that red hat 8 or 9 will work on it?

Plus do you know where I could find me some more memory for the netserver?

Thank's

yes the site will tell youu how to make a bootable floppy disk for bios and ecu run the bios first then ecu before the os

used memory ? at www.c-techonline.com or just make sure it is the correct style and speed if i remember it is only like 72 dns,,, always place memory in pairs

you can buy new at kingston or like but it may be expensive
