Management tools install location on MS Hyper-V Server
I've just finished setting up MS Hyper-V server 2008 (NOTE - this is the OS only, not the Hyper-V that runs over Windows 2008 server) on a DL 380 G5p. I have 3 geust OS's: SBS 2003, W2K3 running Terminal Services, and another W2K3 running BES Express. What is the best practices for installing the HP management tools as far as where it should be installed? If I install on the SBS guest, will it be able to read all of the sensors and have access to all of the interupts, etc. it needs to properly monitor the server? Or can I install the tools directly on the (extremely limited) Hyper-V console? Thanks in advance!
