ML350 G3 replace failed drive
Running an ML350 G3 with Server 2003 as the OS and a Raid 5 configuration.
Had a drive fail yesterday which the OS caught and rebuilt the array automatically.
My question is: I have a replacement drive on the way and am wondering if all I have to do is a hot swap with the failed drive and the OS will build the array again with the new drive?
Thanks for any and all help.

Re: ML350 G3 replace failed drive
Hello,
Yes, thats it !
However, please note, RAID rebuild is not a part of the OS operations.
Regards.

Re: ML350 G3 replace failed drive
Thanks for the quick answer!
Yep, I meant array controller rebuilt it but I was too lazy to go back and correct it! LOL
