Netserver E800 Rebooting problems.

I tried to download the Online diagnostics for the Netserver E800 but keep getting cut off.

Is there a place I can download the utilities to a file, then take it to my server to run?

The server was rebooting by itself if the server was not shut down on a daily basis.

I have Case # for service but have not heard any word from HP. Where can I get an update on my case?

Fred,

You should be able to get a status update of your case at the main page of the itresourcecentre.
In the Maintenance and Support Centre select Hardware Call Manager and enter all necessary information.

Which online diagnostics are you referring to?
Instant Support??

Hope this helps.

Re: Netserver E800 Rebooting problems.

Marco,

Yes, the instant support diagnostics do not download properly. I get a message that they are downloading, but after 5 min or so the download just hangs. I've monitored the modem and at that point it just stops receiving data.

I have a faster access during work hours and want to download them to a CD and take them out to the Server to see what problems the diagnostics can find.

Is there a FTP site where I can download the instant support diagnostics?

Re: Netserver E800 Rebooting problems.

Marco,

Can't get there since I don't have the warranty linked. I'll have to get the serial # from the machine tomorrow and then update before I can see the status.

Sorry, I'm a first time user of HP support.

Dank u wel!

Re: Netserver E800 Rebooting problems.

Fred,

I searched for an ftp download at ftp.hp.com/pub but couldn't find it.
Hope the dowload at the office goes better.

Graag gedaan!

Re: Netserver E800 Rebooting problems.

Marco,

Thanks for the FTP link. Even though you didn't find anything, I think I did.

ftp://hp.com/pub/netserver/Networking-Server_Management/Server_Management_Software/Diagnostic_Tools/dtut.txt

I think this is what I need.
