Netserver HL3

Hi my problem is that the event log in the front display reports that the CPU voltage is under 1.5V

Anyone knows why?

Re: Netserver HL3

I don't know if this is the real problem, but it sounds like the core voltage of the CPU is too low. At least that's what the system thinks.

I've never heard of this issue before, but the first thing I would check is the Voltge Regulator Modules (VRMs), which are little boards assemblies about 4cm x 8 cm, and probably labeled something like "VRM1" on the CPU board. If you have dual CPUs, you can remove one CPU and VRM to see if you can isolate the bad one. Assuming that one is bad. If you have a single CPU, I don't have a good way to debug the problem.

Is the processor in your system of a speed and stepping that is supported by HP?

Re: Netserver HL3

Hi!

The voltage regulator is probably the error.
There is only 1 CPU in the system. :(
