Netserver LC2000 Disk array problems

We have a netserver LC2000 with a netraid 1Si controller.
I have 2 logical drives, one of these logical drives is configured raid5 and consists of 3 disks of 36.4GB. When I add a new physical disk of 36.4GB to this logical drive (in netraid assistant) everything works fine, I can see the total space in the physicl disk increasing.
But when I go to Windows2000 disk management, I can't find the newly created space.

Re: Netserver LC2000 Disk array problems

I am assuming the following:

1. Your RAID 5 array was created as one logical drive (otherwise additional drives cannot be added)
2. Virtual sizing was not enabled in the NetRAID array (by default it is not)
3. If virtual sizing is not enabled, you must restart Windows 2000 (just once) before it can report the free space...
It just doesn't get any better then this

Re: Netserver LC2000 Disk array problems

Hi,

I'm sorry for the confusion; we had a technical problem when we moved your message to this forum in the hopes you would get some better feedback having it in the Netserver area rather than the Storage area.

Again, I apologize.

I did a reboot but nothing has changed... I'm still not finding any new space in Win2000 Disk management...

Make sure you are viewing the unpartitioned/unformatted space in the disk manager application

I checked all options of Disk Manager... I can't find anything that is not correctly configured... But I'm still not finding the newly created space.
