NetServer LC3
I was curious if there is any software that could be installed on a NetServer LC3 that would give disk health as output. We have raid 1 and other than the green LEDs we have no other way of testing the disks to see if they are ok. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Re: NetServer LC3
Hi Adam,
Are you running this raid configuration off of a raid controller or is it a software raid? What Operating sytem are you running in this box?
If you have a raid controller sure you can download netraid assistant from this link
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/DriverDownload.jsp?locale=en_US&pnameOID=15811&taskId=135&prodTypeId=15351&prodSeriesId=50443〈=en&cc=us
1. Select your operating system
2. Select "Software storage Controller" and download the utility
3. Install it in your system
Note :(If the server is in prodcution and you do not want to restart the server that is fine you can select NO when you are asked to restart the server)
4. run netraid assistant (If your OS is Microsoft it should be located under programs if it is Netware OS you have to run Megamgr.nlm)
However, if you do not have a raid controller the only way to check the hard drives status is to press CTRL + C and access the SCSI Disk Utility during boot up
I hope this will help
