Netserver LH3 Boot Problem

Hi I have Netserver LH3 which will not post/boot. The server will beep once and nothing happens. The video is blank. When I switch 5 to clear the config the system will display Firmware(4.06.25PL and Mgmt is 4.0.4) and processor speed (400MHz) message. After switching 5 to off the system will power on but no video. I think the system doesn't iven pass the post and this is why there is no video. I removed all PCI boards from the system and all LED are lit green. The front display has only one option "System Information" and it displays that system information is unavailable. Any idea what could be wrong and how to make it boot?

Re: Netserver LH3 Boot Problem

Hello Andrew,
at first you can try to solve the problem removing the power cords for 15 minutes to completely reset the management controller. If this does not work you should call the hp support center and a customer engineer because i think you have got a hardware problem probably with one of your boards (system-, i/o- or power-management-board), cpu, cpu-terminator or vrm.

Re: Netserver LH3 Boot Problem

Hi Tobias
No this didn't help. I had this server out of power all night. I was wonder if you know how to reset Managemnet board. I have second LH3 which develop similar problem (no video). We swap the processor board between the server and I notice that on a second server the Fron Panel still showing old configuration. Like the old processor board had 2 processors and new only one yet the fron panel showing 2 processors. I think the procblem is in management board.

Re: Netserver LH3 Boot Problem

Hello Andrew,
the informations in the front panel are first updated at the end of the POST. If your server does not successfully pass the POST it will never be updated.
