No Perfmon stats for PhysicalDisk or LogicalDisk
Hi,
I have an Proliant server with a Smart Array 5i controller. I'm trying to collect Perfmon stats, but the options for PhysicalDisk and LogicalDisk are missing in the options box (when I select add counter, they aren't in the "performance objects" pulldown list).
The controller is connected to 3 disks, and configured as two logical drives. I've updated the controller driver to the latest version.
Is there anything else I should try?

Re: No Perfmon stats for PhysicalDisk or LogicalDisk
I had a similar problem on a Win2K Adv. server (Proliant DL580G2) with SAN connections. I tried enabling the disk counters with exctrlst, diskperf -y and all the basics without any success.
I finally found a Microsoft article that says there was a buffer limitation bug in the version of perfdisk.dll included with SP4. They have a patch, but I had to contact MS to get a copy. Installing the patch resolved my problem.
