NOT RECOGNIZING INSTALLED RAM / HP NETSERVER LH PRO
Sirs; In my netserver I have installed 2 128MB - D4297A ram chips, they are recognized and run perfectly. I recently purchased one 256MB - D4926A ram chip but the computer only recognizes it as a 64MB ram chip. These chips are "HP" chips! My neighbor has a HP netserver LH Pro identical to mine and the above chip shows up as a 256MB Chip on his. Do you have any idea why it's not showing up as a 256MB Chip on my Netserver?
Thank You;
Larry

Re: NOT RECOGNIZING INSTALLED RAM / HP NETSERVER LH PRO
That's puzzling.
That RAM chip is compatible with the LHPro (see the mid-level NetServer service manual, page 92 of 178: http://h200001.www2.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/lpn11786/lpn11786.pdf)
But, the manual also says that you can only install a max of 512MB of RAM. However, you haven't gone over that, so I don't understand why it won't work.
To troubleshoot this, I would swap the RAM around to see if the slot is bad.
