Problems Installing Windows 2003 std on Proliant 6400

I have been trying to install win2k3 std on a proliant 6400. The system has a 4200 controller. I start with the smart start 5.5 and choose manual install. The smart start utility runs fine, but when it is time to place the OS cd in the drive, the system reboots and comes up with non-system disk. We are using are select version cd. I have also tried changing the card to a 5300, but no luck. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
