Proliant 3000 boot up error

Proliant 3000 boot up error

I have a Proliant 3000 with one processor. I have verified this by looking. There is definitely only one processor. When the server boots the bios gives me a 217 error saying the the second processor is unable to cache any info and performance may degrade. It sure does. A reboot fixes this but it only lasts a couple of days. I have gone through the setup and there is only one processor listed there as well. How can I tell the bios there truly is only one processor and clear this message? Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Proliant 3000 boot up error

Eric:

You should run the System Configuration Utility either from your System partition (Press F10 at Boot) or from your SmartStart CD. Re-save your configuration.

If you do not have these, you can configure your server with the diskette version of the SCU:

Hope this helps! -john
