ProLiant ML370 G3 and SOLARIS 9
I need to install Solaris 9 on an new HP ProLiant ML370 G3 with a Smart Array 641 RAID-Controller. BIOS and Firmware is uptodate (SmartStart CD Release 6.40).
I obtained a new driver for the 641-Controller for Solaris 9 and it can be added during setup.
In the first phase of Solaris setup I get the following warnings:
Resource Conflict - both devices are added
NON-ACPI device: PNP0303
Port: 60,64; IRQ:1
ACPI-Device: PNP 0A00
Port:60,64,40B,4D6
NON-ACPI device: PNP 0A00
Port: 60,64,40b,4D6
ACPI device: PNP0200
Port: 40B, 4D6; DMA:7
After I choose "Interactive Installation" the kernel boots and then setup hangs...
Do you have any idea?
with kind regards,
Marc

Re: ProLiant ML370 G3 and SOLARIS 9
First, are you using the Solaris 9 DU disk with your install?
http://h18000.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/download/21538.html
You need this for the correct driver on Solaris.
Second, did you select Solaris as the O/S in the RBSU?
Third, did you set full table mapped in the APIC Table (Under the Advanced tab in the RBSU)
Let me know what you find? -john
