SCSI and IDE Hard-disk on Netserver E50

Hello,
- netserver E-50
- 2 scsi HDD
- 1 ide HDD
- bios upgraded (last version)

I would like to add an ide-hard disk like slave on a netserver e-50 which is equiped with two scsi hard-disk.
When i configure my ide harddisk on master the system boot on it.
When i configure my ide HDD on slave, the system don't recognize it.
I haven't the choice on the bios to boot only on the scsi HDD and so have my ide HDD on slave.
Help me for configure ide-HDD on slave only.
please

You must have a master device on the chain inorder to use a slave device. You can put the CD-ROM as master and try that. If you look at the technical refernce guide that came with the system, you will notice that IDE has a higher boot priority than SCSI, there isn't a way to change this.
