Server Maintenance
I'm new to server maintenance. I started poking around after getting an imminent failure warning on one of my drives on my Proliant 5500 machine. While I wait for the replacement parts to come in, I'm wondering what maintenance I should be doing on these servers.
I don't think the BIOS or the drivers have ever been updated on any of my servers. Could someone please point me in the right direction on how to safely maintain/upgrade my servers? I have a Proliant 5500 and a couple of others (they're aren't in fornt of me right now). All my machines are running Windows 2000.

Re: Server Maintenance
Melissa:
I guess you know the BIOSs etc. are at...
http://h18023.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/locate/20_1108.html
I also attach a manual of checking on servers etc.
For other manuals look at...
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/DocumentIndex.jsp?contentType=SupportManual&locale=en_US&docIndexId=179911&taskId=101&prodTypeId=15351&prodSeriesId=254914
in particular Maintenance & Service Guide chapter 3 for BIOS updating (COMPAQ call it ROMPaq..)#
Mind you, on an old box like this I wouldn't update it, but would get all the drivers & BIOS in case I need it..
