Email notifications on failed jobs in RMC
The issue below has been present with RMC (Back to version 4) for a number of years and HPE support have looked at it numerous times but never fixed.
When jobs fail in RMC Snapshots/Express Protect etc an email is sent sucessfully indicating the job has failed/succeeded etc. All seems well for a period of time usually around 7 days and then subsequent failures are never notified.
As we have an auditory requirement to record job success/failure its always meant we cannot use RMC for any of our production enviroments.
This was the respnse from engineering at HPE:
"The Engineering team has informed that they are still working on the issue internally.
They are trying to re-reproduce the issue in their LABs and causing validation error intentionally, the trigger of the problem is the "validation of VMware datastore resource failure".
Then intentionally causing such "validation error" can help to reproduce the failure of generating notification."

It is difficult to address the issue as there is limited scope to analyse anything here. You follow up with the HPE support/Engineering team who is already working on it.
