Pre-requesite for RMC Server

Hi,

Do we need dedicated HBA for RMC Server ( Virtual or Physical ) ?

Hi

RMC is a virtual machine (appliance)

to use express protect with Fibre channel you must use

VMware VMDirectPath feature that is the RMC guest uses dedicated

HBA from the ESXI server.

'Possibly' .. if you are using backups and FC, then yes with vmDirectPath as noted.
If not using backups (snap only), or using iSCSI, then no.
