Good day
Hope all is well.
Does anyone know if it is somehow possible to get your RMC Oracle DB backups residing on a StoreOnce RMC repository to tape?
Client has Veeam if it will help, will be nice if it can.

SolutionHi, I'm a software developer from Softkit and I'm happy to help you.
Yes, it is possible to get your RMC Oracle DB backups residing on a StoreOnce RMC repository to tape using Veeam Backup & Replication.
To do this, you can use Veeam's tape functionality to create a backup to tape job that includes the RMC Oracle DB backups stored on the StoreOnce RMC repository. You can configure the job to run on a regular schedule to ensure that the backups are copied to tape on a regular basis.
To set up the backup to tape job, you will need to have a tape library and tape drives available that are supported by Veeam Backup & Replication. You will also need to configure the tape infrastructure in Veeam Backup & Replication, including setting up the tape library, tape drives, and media pools.
Once the tape infrastructure is configured, you can create a new backup to tape job in Veeam Backup & Replication and select the RMC Oracle DB backups stored on the StoreOnce RMC repository as the source. You can then configure the job settings, including the backup schedule and retention policy, and start the job.
Please note that there may be additional configuration steps required to ensure that the RMC Oracle DB backups can be accessed by Veeam Backup & Replication and copied to tape. It is recommended that you consult the documentation for both RMC and Veeam Backup & Replication, as well as seek the assistance of an experienced IT professional, to ensure that the backup to tape job is set up correctly and meets your specific requirements.
