Hi Alan,
mod_so is compiled in your httpd, then you can load load proxy as a module..
To do it, just uncomment the loadmodule and addmodule line !
And don't forget to uncomment the proxy definition :
#
# ProxyRequests On
#
# Order deny,allow
# Deny from all
# Allow from .your_domain.com
#
and so on..
I'm using it on HP-UX and it works fine !!!
