How is a PORT-LIST formatted properly?
Greetings all,
A very basic question, but I find myself unable to find an answer. I am implementing mac-based port-access on a couple of HP ProCurve switches (various types). The command is simple:
aaa port-access mac-based PORT-LIST
But how is the PORT-LIST formatted exactly? I have a list like
1-4, 5, 8-12, 14, 16, 19-48
Will that work? Problem is, the ports not on the list should under no circumstance be put on port-access, so I cannot really experiment in this case. On Cisco I would do an interface range, where there is a limitation of only 5 'items' in a range, is there any limitation on the PORT-LIST of the HP ProCurves?
Thanks in advance
Chris

Re: How is a PORT-LIST formatted properly?
From the Advanced Traffic Management Guide:
port-list: Specify a single port number, a range of ports (for example, a1-a16), or all.
