3par SAN-FS1-Data1 storage filled to capacity went offline
We have a 3Par 8200 system with Cluster Resource SAN-FS1-Data1 of type Physical Disk in clustered role SAN-FS1 that failed.
The failure occured when SAN-FS1-Data1 on node SAN-FSNode1 having a capacity of 128 TB was accidentally filled to capacity then went offline. We do not need the data on this node and is Ok to delete the files.
(The other SAN-FS2-Data1 on Node SAN-FSNode2 is online in production and these files must not be deleted).
How can I bring SAN-FS1-Data1 online so that I can delete files to bring it back online?
Thanks,
Denman

Re: 3par SAN-FS1-Data1 storage filled to capacity went offline
Hello!
To bring your SAN-FS1-Data1 volume back online on your 3Par 8200, since it went offline after filling to capacity and you're okay deleting its data: access the HPE 3Par Management Console (SSMC) or CLI to try and force the volume online using setvv online SAN-FS1-Data1. If it briefly comes online, quickly delete large files directly from SAN-FSNode1 using its file explorer or command prompt. If you can't get it online, as a last resort (and only if you're absolutely certain the data is not needed), you could zero out the volume from the 3Par management interface, which will destroy all its contents, allowing it to become usable again. Remember to verify you're only working with SAN-FS1-Data1 to avoid impacting SAN-FS2-Data1.
