removing old images
In /opt/cmu/image, images seem to remain even after the logical groups are removed (using the CMU GUI).
I see no way to remove an image in the User Guide. Is it OK to just \rm * in the directory for an image?

Sorry for the delay in responding to this post.
Yes, you can use 'rm -rf' to remove the old image directory in /opt/cmu/image/. CMU does not delete this directory because it contains all of the old image data that may be useful and/or forgotten when the new image was created.
