[Smart Array E208e-p Rev:0E] Firmware Downgrade from 6.22 to 4.11 Fails

Dear HPE Support,

I am experiencing an issue attempting to downgrade the firmware of an HPE Smart Array E208e-p SR Gen10 controller from version 6.22 to 4.11. I am using the Smart Component CP047002.scexe on a Linux system.

Even when executing the script with the --downgrade, -g (force), and -f (no prompt) options, the flash fails. I would like to ask if this downgrade is restricted or unsupported for devices with revision 0E, and whether there is an alternative method to apply the downgrade.

Re: [Smart Array E208e-p Rev:0E] Firmware Downgrade from 6.22 to 4.11 Fails

Greetings!

If you intend to downgrade the firmware, please use the SPP in offline mode. I have noticed that attempting a forced downgrade from the operating system often results in failure.
